7 Steps for the Best Holiday Eyeshadow Look

Christmas Eyeshadow - 7 Steps for the Best Holiday Eyeshadow Look

Whether you decide to go out this holiday season to celebrate with family and friends, or stay in for a Zoom Holiday event, we have you covered! Here are some bright, colorful eyeshadow looks you should consider for the holidays!

Many of these Christmas makeup looks will have you wearing bold colors with a dab of sparkle and shimmer. If you feel like being spontaneous, you may consider green or red eye looks. It is a perfect time to get creative and bold for the holidays!

Here’s a quick outline of how to apply a bold, bright eyeshadow look this holiday season.

Step 1:  Apply Neutral Eyeshadow Color

Start by applying a neutral eyeshadow color to the crease of your eyelid, This will help you create a guideline for yourself, so you know not to bring the color above the eyelid crease.

Step 2: Go Darker

Apply a darker neutral eyeshadow color underneath your crease and then take a clean brush to blend the colors together.

Step 3: Go Green

Now, the fun part! Applying the green eyeshadow. Consider “Kia” from the Saharan Eyeshadow Palette by Juvia’s Place, and apply directly with your fingertip. Then take a makeup brush and diffuse into the brown/neutral crease color.

Step 4: Apply a Black Eyeshadow

For the outer corner, you will take any dark color, consider “Chad” from the Saharan Palette by Juvia’s Place, and apply in layers to your liking.

Step 5: An Eyeshadow Brush is Key

To blend the black eyeshadow back into the crease, take an eyeshadow brush and lightly grab some of a neutral eyeshadow color and blend.

This can be difficult, so take your time!

Step 6: Glitter Eyeshadow

Glitter time! Apply by dabbing lightly on your eyelid and on top of the green eyeshadow.

Step 7: Smudge Away!

Combine a light and dark neutral eyeshadow color and smudge to the bottom of your eyelashes to give you an exotic look.

If you feel so inclined to, you may consider adding some fake eyelashes to complete the look. :)
